Fantastic space Heater
This is an excellent space heater. Quiet and warm, warm, warm. I included a photo of our thermostat. I’ve only had this 2 days and it is awesome, and this small heater actually raised the temp to 73 and it may go higher. It’s 30 degrees outside. I’ve always bought Lasko tower heaters. This year bought this small one and another brand. The other arrived first and was a poor machine. Taller but weak with heat and blower. So boxed it up to return. I’m Shocked at how warm this Dreo 10” heater is. And IT BLOWS. Really knocks the chill off. I hate winter 🥶 and this will help. As soon as I get credit on the other heater, I will order 2 more of these for gifts. 🎁 5 stars ⭐️. *** as others mentioned, the controls are hard to see. I’ve already memorized the button placements. May highlight with a sharpie. But the performance of heat and blower are what matter. This one is powerful and half the size.

I guess I’m easy to please . it does EXACTLY what they say it does and I am warm.
I Might have read every review on this item, i didn’t want to make a mistake and have to return it.i have a room in my house that is COLD, the rest of the house stays about 68 pretty consistant, but this room. did i mention it is my office? so i wanted a small quiet heater that could make my office liveable…quietly without using a lot of energy. I only use it during the days and i don’t care about the thermostat useage, i want something i can turn on in the morning and turn off when i don’t need it. SO , i bought this one… I have never been happier! I read the warnings and directions and registered it to extend the warranty to 30 months, plugged it in and hit ON. then i set it to the 2nd heat setting and waited. it only took 4 minutes for me to feel a temp change and in 10 i almost had to turn it off. on my unit, the buttons on the top are silver so they are easy to see. it’s so quiet, I don’t even know its on except for the EXCEPTIONAL heat output. I have to turn it off when i leave and on when i return but that is my choice, i don’t want to over heat the room, no sense to do that. so i’m only using the 1000 watt setting and it’s MORE than adequate. I guess if i wanted to move it to a larger room, like the family room, i’d use the 15oo watt setting but that probably won’t happen. I am EXTREEMLY happy and I suggest you get this one. STRONGLY.

UPDATE TO: Fan stopped working after one day.
I have updated my rating to five stars after using the replacement unit, sometimes around the clock, for approximately 3 weeks.Every function described works perfectly. Two thing I particularly appreciate are how quiet it is, and the automatic way it reduces its display once set. These things matter because, right now, I am in a situation without central heat, while I complete tasks related to clearing out a house. This heater heats the area where I sleep and work my day job (telehealth) quite comfortable. The sound is not intrusive during Zoom appointments, and that is quite remarkable. Also, the description of how widely the heat is distributed is quite accurate (I mean, I didn’t get out a protractor, just saying). When I am sleeping (on a long, deep sofa, I am warm from head to toes, as is my large dog. The night time low temperatures outside have been in the teens and single digits, and I am in an open floor plan space with a cathedral-style ceiling. It is not well insulated. The windows (of which there are many) are not double glazed, nor do they have storm windows installed.Based upon these things, I feel quite confident that this heater will easily extend the camping season, ice fishing, drafty spaces, and emergency situations in which one might be in an unheated vehicle for an extended period of time.———————————————When I unboxed and set the heater up, all o my impressions were positive: size, appearance, ease of use, helpful quick start and more detailed instructions. I turned it in and was very pleased with its efficacy. Far superior to space heaters of many sizes that I have encountered in the past. The warmth and ability to control it were great. The fan was quiet and smooth. The unit could be used in fan-only mode. One thing I had not expected was the ECO mode. It is a gem. This mode lets you set a temperature, and then the unit chooses what heat level to use to achieve it. It adjusts itself to fluctuations of temperature. Really neat! The timer offers one hour increments, and is easy to adjust. Should you not use the timer, there is an automatic shut down at 24 hours.I guess that last point means that the unit is meant to run for significant lengths of time. Mine did not.I used the unit in eco mode for about two hours and then shut it off when I left the area. When I came back, a couple of hours later, I set it up to run overnight—again in ECO mode, and with a lower temperature. It worked a beautifully for approximately 7.5 hours..I turned it off when I got up. Then, as the afternoon drew on and day got colder, I went to snuggle up with the heater and watch a movie. That is when I noticed that the fan was not turning. I read through all of the troubleshooting instructions, none of which address this issue. The heating element continues to function, but, unfortunately, it does not project the heat more than a couple of inches from the unit.I have initiated a replacement process and we’ll see. I will update as I have more info.

Amazing quality!
The best little heater I’ve ever purchased!! It heats the whole room within 10 mins and I’ve never had to go higher than setting #2. I also love the timer feature so I never worry I’m wasting electricity! It’ll turn off while I’m asleep! Only con is make sure the back isn’t too close to a wall or dusty items, it’ll make your heater air smell weird… I usually just light a candle if that happens lol! Overall 10/10 heater!!

Love
So I got this heater bc my downstairs connected to the garage does not get warm even w the central air and heat it’s still always a draft. This room is a pretty nice size room and this little heater warmed it up quickly and keeps it toasty the entire room. I love it and it was definitely well worth the buy. I was sceptical bc the size of the room but no issues at all it works perfectly

Wow! No more cold!
I bought this for use in my office at home because the person who owns my house is insistent that 58 degrees is perfectly comfortable for winter in a cold climate. It was so cold I couldn’t concentrate on my work. This little space heater is everything I needed for my room, which is about 200 square feet, and it heated it up NICE. Almost too hot! I had to turn it down! The things I love about this is the color and design, it’s sleek and inconspicuous. You can control everything easily at the top and it has an automatic shut off/safety feature. Also the temperature does not display constantly, the display panel is very subtle.I also love that it just has a fan option.I love the eco mode the most, this maintains a nice warmth but it shuts off when the ambient air around the device is at the temperature you specified. There is another mode where you can have the heater just blasting heat if you need it which I have taken advantage of after coming in to get mail.I absolutely recommend this product.

Not the most powerful but love it anyway
As another review mentioned, this heater isn’t the most powerful at quickly heating up an entire room (even on the highest H3 setting). However, it does heat up my poorly insulated 150 sq ft. bedroom to a toasty temp within 30-60 min, and is great when pointed at a concentrated area like when I’m at my desk. It’s quieter and more beautiful than any space heater I’ve had, so I’m happy with my purchase! I appreciate the extended warranty, safety features, and the little groove in the back that makes it easy to pick up and move around.

Mighty & Strong
This is a perfect size needed for my guest room and I used it in my living room and it warmed up nicely. It powers up right away and instantly you are getting warm heat. Controls on the top are nice and the handy carry indent is great. Price point excellent. Recommend.

LOVE THIS!
This tiny heater is just right for our tiny 10 x11 guest room. We have a gas fireplace that heats our home but when the door is closed for privacy, there’s no heat in there. This little heater keeps the room warm quietly and without bright idiot lights. I love the thermostat and being able to set the temp I want. You can use just the fan with no heat too! If you have a small space, this is the one!

Nearly silent
I specifically bought this electric heater because I wanted something quiet. All these little heaters put out the same amount of BTU’s per Kilowatt Hour but not all are quiet. This one advertised making only 34db. I wasn’t sure if that sound rating was on low or high but figured I would give it a try.Sure enough the heater is super quiet. All the temperature and heat settings work exactly as they are supposed to. Even on High this unit is very very quiet. I know there are other oil filled heaters that are also silent but this one has a fan and heat and is extremely quiet even on it’s highest setting.

Wow! Now this is a Space Heater
In sticking to my policy of reviewing products that are either exceptional or a waste of money, this bad boy warrants an immediate review. Holy Crow! Exceptional! Now I know how a space heater is supposed to work. I’ve been loyal to a Lasko model 754200 for years, purchasing it 2-3 times in the last 9 years. After cleaning it the other day it stopped producing hot air on the low setting, AGAIN! And the high setting was nothing to write home about. This has happened before and I am sick of it. So, I searched, compared, read reviews and selected this Dreo model DR-HSH006. I never expected such fantastic results. This thing is great! It isn’t a fan blowing out warmish air, it’s putting out HEAT! Serious heat! I ran it for an hour this morning and the temp in my living room increased from 71 to 77 degrees! WOW! That has NEVER happened before. My HVAC doesn’t even warm my place up like that! Additionally, I ran it because I got soaked from the rain. I set my shoes, socks and pants in front of it and in less than an hour they are all dry! And it wasn’t even on the highest setting! It was on the middle setting H2. The Lasko would take hours to dry my shoes! Inside and out! Took less than an hour for Dreo! The model itself is a round, black colored unit, with push-buttons on top to operate. I was concerned about breakage with buttons instead of dials, but the buttons are so sensitive (not in a bad way) that just a light push or tap, or a Jedi Mind Trick garners results. Indeed, as other reviewers state, the buttons are hard to see in a poorly lit room, and they could use a white outline or illumination to see them better. However, with the results I’ve gotten I’ll accept that trade-off. But Dreo, for next year’s model make that change, customers will thank you. And Lasko, go back to the drawing board and do whatever these Dreo guys did, because you just got crushed, badly! In additon, I like the timer feature, and since this bad boy does such an effective job blasting out heat that timer is a great feature so I won’t awaken to a sauna. Also, I would lay on the floor and camp in front of my Lasko to get warmed up. The heat discharge was a straight line, but not this unit. The Dreo has an expaded heat disharge zone in comparison. You can even feel it standing near the unit. Can’t do that with Lasko, you’d have to be directly in front of it. Because this Dreo heats up the space so quickly and effectively, I’ve not even needed to fiddle with the temp setting, I can run it for a few minutes and presto, it’s warm enough that I can turn the unit off. This unit will save me oodles on the electric and gas costs to run my HVAC, supplanting the need to run the HVAC so frequently. And it will save me even more electric bill money because I don’t need to run this heater for hours for effective results like with my former Lasko model. Assuming nothing chages in the future, and no buttons break, or malfunctions occur, I highly recommend this space heater.

This thing cranks out the heat
This review is for the DREO space heater. I was surprised at the heat output of this thing. Way better than my milk-house heater, and its very quiet. I haven’t tested the thermostat function for accuracy because I go for how I feel in the room. The room is 15 x 20. so its not small. I live in Arizona so your mileage may vary depending on location.I am very happy with the unit based on great heat output. Only used it for a month so no idea if it will last long.

Heats Great and quiet
I love this unit. Is very light an easy to move around. I put in my office when in there and in my bedroom at night and kitchen family room when I’m in that area while keep my Central heat at 67 degrees and it hardly ever comes on. It’s workhorse. Exceptional value. Well made.

Great heat output
Love this little space heater. I live alone so in the winter months I really don’t like to heat the entire house when Im spending extended periods in one room. I have this specific one in my bedroom on the nightstand and I use it to heat the room prior to sleeping. Some nights I keep it on all night but mostly I use it to make me toasty just before bedtime. This sucker is efficient!! Got the 10 inch and its size is perfect for my nightstand. I’m impressed with the big output in the small package! Dreo does it again.

Heats Well in Small Space
I like the Dreo heater as it is quiet, heats well and takes a small space.I like the operation when it is functioning, just wish the functionality for the degrees and on/off were slightly different. Wish it had a circular cord like you see on other appliances or was capable of battery operation as well as electrical.I am happy with the choice thus far.

Correction to – Heater failure and safety issue
UPDATE – After further investigation, the failure was actually due to my power strip that the heater was plugged into, not the heater itself! I am very aware that you cannot draw too much current through a power strip, and I was not doing this. The heater draws 1500W and was plugged into a power strip rated at 1850W. There was nothing else plugged into the power strip, so I was not violating the power strip’s specifications. However, the failure still occurred — I don’t know why, but perhaps the power strip was old (just a speculation). My overall updated and corrected review is this is an excellent heater and I am very happy with it.I had this heater for two months, and then it had a catastrophic safety failure. When this failure happened, I was working next to the heater and started noticing a slight smell of something burning. At first I was not sure where the smell was coming from, so I went outside for about 3-4 minutes to see if it was coming into my house from outside. Outside smelled normal. When I returned to where the heater was, it was obvious it was coming from the heater as my office had a horrible noxious smell in it. Eventually my circuit breaker tripped. (The heater had previously never tripped my circuit breaker, nor had any problems.)It took me several hours to air out my house. I contacted Amazon chat and have sent an email to warranty questions to inform them about this issue. I don’t know how rare this failure is, but wanted people to be aware of it.

Great little heater.
It’s a great little heater! It fits nicely in my bathroom near the back of toilet. In a corner sort of! I like to hear the bathroom during the winte,or prior to a shower. This heater does a great job of controlling the heat! Not like some small heaters that either keep it too hot or too cold but claim to have thermostats! This works as well as some of my.more expensive lasko heaters. The eco mode works 👍. It’s nice to have a tiny heater with big time control!

This Works!!
This heater is awesome. Our bedroom upstairs has a gas fireplace however our blower stopped working so I bought this after reading many many reviews on different models. I decided on this one. I love this. It heats up our big room wonderfully in Edmonds Washington it’s cold. This also is easy to carry to any room it has a very nice lip that you can put your hand under to lift it up to move I love that part of this design. I am 57 and it’s very light it puts out a nice amount of heat it will stay still or it can move back and forth like a fan does. There are at least 3 settings I love the H3 setting. When I power it off with the little remote control thar comes with it I push power off once then another time and it counts down from 15 seconds to turn off. It’s sleek looking doesn’t take up hardly any room if you put it on a small table, or anywhere. I bring it to our garage to use when I am organizing Christmas things. I can’t say there is anything I don’t like about this. If you lose your remote you can just turn it on from the top it had all if the flat buttons to set it to what you want that us an excellent feature. I also purchased an extended warranty if I’m spending almost 100 or more. Amazon’s warranties are awesome 👌. I highly recommend getting them with large purchases because the warranty will give you a credit for the amount you spent on a product if it stops working within the warranty time frame which is awesome. It’s my protection that costs under 10.00 mostly. If something breaks within the 2 years or 4 year warranty then they either will fix it for free or replace it or give you all of your money back you don’t get the warranty money back. Then you buy something else use it for 2 or 4 years if it breaks then you are only out under 10 bucks. You can’t beat that. It’s a no brained win/win. If it lasts longer than the warranty then ok. I have peace of mind with warranties like the one on Amazon. I have called asurian and asked many questions before buying their warranty. They are awesome. Love this heater. It’s a 10 plus, plus, plus.

Excellent at directing heat. Terrible user interfaces.
*** NOTE: The heater I received doesn’t have the buttons on top outlined. Looking at other reviews, this seems to be a quality control issue. One reviewer even posted a picture of the two he received: one with the buttons outlined, and one without. I’m going to exchange the one I received in the hopes that I’ll get a replacement with the buttons outlined. I called Dreo, and they suggested I exchange the heater for a new one. ***I bought these to keep old pets warm during the cold of winter. I like to keep my house cold because I like it colder and I want to keep my energy costs down. What I like:- Excellent ability to direct warm air to your target. This isn’t one of those warm-up-the-room heaters, which is perfect for keeping my pet’s sleeping area warm without attempting to warm up an entire room to do so.- Excellent safety features. Actually turns off when tipped over. But what was really cool was that, when you turn this heater off, it’ll blow air for another 30 seconds (which you see counted down on the side display) to cool of the exterior of the fan. When that’s done, the heating grill is cool to the touch. Brilliant. What I’m “meh” about:- I don’t need a child lock on my heater, but there’s no way to turn this feature off as a default. It’s simple enough to turn off when using the fan (hold a particular button down for three seconds), but I wish I could turn this feature off completely. BTW–there are lots of reviewers whining about how difficult this feature is to disable. It takes literally three seconds to do so.What I don’t like:- The user interfaces are terrible #1: All of the buttons are on the flat top of the unit, but they’re merely embossed into it so that the characters/symbols are the same color as the rest of the top. They are also not raised, but completely flat. I literally have to get within a couple of inches to know which buttons I’m pressing. I am not going to use this heater enough to memorize where specific buttons are located. Another reviewed used a white paint marker to color in the embossed areas. I’m going to do the same. But the manufacturer should do this in the factory. Or, better yet, make they symbols on the buttons backlit. That would be great.- The user interfaces are terrible #2: While all of the controls are on top of the unit, the display is on the side. So you’re pressing invisible buttons on top while looking at the results on the side. I find myself looking back and forth rapidly as I mess with the heater’s settings while it’s blowing hot air. Put the display on the top of the unit with the buttons, and make the buttons backlit!Overall, I’m very happy with this unit, in spite of the lousy control interfaces. It’s reasonably priced, and it excels at directing heat where I want it to go.

The best !! Buy it !! You won’t regret it trust me.
The media could not be loaded.
Just buy it. It’s so worth it. I love mine so much. So from no heat on in the house at all. Living in a mountain town let’s say 20 degrees out to be fair. Takes about an hour to fully heat the room from freezing up to temp. It’s quick and hot & good. Now if you just wanna leave it on in eco mode it turns off and on @ whatever temp you set. I live with no heat and keep it on 80 the dreo space heater. It looks nice. Remote is amazing laying in bed and change the temps without even moving adjust it through the night or day. This thing works !! It packs heat & I just leave it on 80 now and my room is very comfy if not hot. I wake up hot and the temp can be moved up into the 90s if you really wanna blast hot hot air and fill up a space. 80 is the lowest heat you can put it on. You can do 79 and below , but I think it’s cooler air. I found my sweeet spot at the lowest heat possible and it’s perfect. I even have to grab the remote in bed and turn it down sometimes !!! The remote is nice you can turn swivel mode off & on . The beeping noise off of on & all the settings stay where you had them even when powered off. The power button. What else just get it & thank me later. It’s expensive yes but it’s the best heater I’ve ever owned hands down. If your room is cold or possibly living room I’m sure on high heat. They also have H3 H2 & H1 for just constant HOT air blowing at all times. That would probably heat up any area honestly. It’s powerful & quick . It also has air settings for the summer or air temps. I have always loved dreo but my small one was a couple years old with tons of cat hair in the filter & it just wasn’t heating up my room even on 93. Again the new one this one , on 80/ eco is double the strength and warmth. My old one was on 93 and constant heat & was nothing compared to this. Just thank me later it’s worth every penny trust me.this new one the taller one will have your bedroom fully heated in an hour or less. I have to turn it down Half the time. I love the remote so I can be lazy half asleep roll over and adjust the heat setting by temp . You’ll find what works for you. But it goes up to 90s I think. And I like it hot hot . Sauna hot . I LIVE IN THE VERY COLD MOUNTAINS VAIL CO. POINT BEING – my sister who I live with she loves an ice box. NO HEAT ON where we live constantly set to off all winter long always & forever. On top of that – she opens windows up I’m talking 20 degrees out or below that . All winter the windows are open all day and night on top of zero heat. DREO set between 80-85. Turns my room into a sauna ( which I love ) . But just imagine if you have heat in your home already – you could probably use this at 70 degrees and be hot too. My dreo competes with no heat on at all ever in the place where we live by sisters choice: & it blows my mind windows open on top of that !!!! All winter !!!!! So if this tank can have my room so hot – fighting with polar opposite. This think is a tank. I wake up sweating . That’s how strong and powerful it is & quiet too. Maybe like mild Brown noise . I would say . Which is nice .

impressive heat output
— the unit is small but puts out an impressive amount of heat which quickly warms up the surrounding air, but the output directly in front of the unit is hot, so you wont want to face it directly at anything, and also would not work for households with small children. that said it has a thirty second cool down feature you can activate when you turn it off, which is pretty cool (sorry). the noise level is comfortable, not too loud like some other fans and heaters, and its even sort of calming …

Awesome product
this little heater puts out an amazing amount of powerful warmth. It is easy to use. It can be set on any one of three different heating settings that will pump out a lot of heat, or you can set a thermostat to whatever is your comfortable temp. It has all the safety gizmos and operates quietly. buy this heater..you won’t be disappointed.

FAR exceeded my expectations
My simple, two-knob, 25 year old space heater finally broke, and I chose this Dreo Atom 316 after much research. I really wanted another all-manual one for reliability; I’ve had too many electronics with unnecessary digital controls die on me to trust something like a space heater with capacitive buttons and an LED display. Time will tell if this Dreo holds up but, in the meantime…Wow! This heater is SO much better than our old one, in every possible way. In fact, I like it so much that I bought a second one within an hour of using this first one. I chose this model because of one feature in particular – quiet fan – as well as notably better reviews than other optionsI was considering. Specifically, I like:+ It’s HOT, and FAST. I don’t know if the heating element is actually any hotter than our old unit, but this one gets the heat out of the device and into the room faster and farther. By a lot. I use it in our mid-size bathroom so I don’t have to heat up the whole house when getting ready in the morning. Our old one ran continuously; this one runs for a few minutes then shuts off – because the room is actually warm! Uniformly warm, too, not just in the immediate vicinity of the heater.+ It’s QUIET. It’s an understatement to say that I’m sensitive to noise. This heater is as quiet as advertised. The fan is outstanding. It’s almost imperceptible on the lowest setting, and still quiet on the highest. It’s literally as quiet as the high-end fans on the silent computer I built for my office.+ Useful features. I won’t repeat the product description here, but some highlights are: tip-over protection; auto shut-off (thermostat, regular timer, and optional 24-hour timer); settings memory; dark(ish) mode (most LEDs turn off after 1 minute). Something that I didn’t think much about at first – but that I love after seeing it in action – is the automatic cool-down. When you turn the heater off, the fan runs for 30 seconds to expel the remaining heat. When it’s done, the front grate is cool to the touch. After getting singed several times on our old one, this is a surprisingly nice feature.Again, time will tell whether this product lasts. If it does, it’s a winner. Oh, and you can register for a free, extended (30 month) warranty on the Dreo website.Last thing: the white color has a silver band at top. I wasn’t sure from the photos and description whether the band was gold like the black model. Personally, I think the metallic band looks cheesy, but at least the silver is less ostentatious than the gold, IMHO.Thanks Dreo!
