I absolutely LOVE this fan, in fact, so much so, I purchased two more.
When I opened the box I was disappointed because of the size. It was the hottest days of the summer and there was a problem with the A/C which I won’t go into. Since, leaving my apartment wasn’t something I wanted to do, I decided to “brave” it out for as long as possible. Because of the size of the fan, I thought it would be lucky if I could make it one night. However when I connected the fan and started it up, I was amazed. The little “Angel Cooler” put out an amazing amount of cool air. So naturally, I ordered two more and the next three days were quite comfortable in my bedroom. Now they are put away for the winter. But next summer I plan to buy a couple more for the living room and will be my go-to gift for friends and family. It has been a long time since I have been so happy with any product, and, although I have been quite chatty about Dreo Fans, I haven’t been able to find the words to express my joy with my “Angel Coolers”. Really nice fan that moves the air!
This fan is not very large but it really moves the air. I have it by my bedside (I suspect a lot of buyers use it like that) and it puts out plenty of air on the low setting. Having the remote handy is a real plus as it allows you to not only adjust the air speed but also the oscillation. If you are super lazy, like moi, you can even use it to change the direction it is pointing by using turning the oscillation button on and off quickly.The only real drawback is that you have to set the vertical angle by hand and there are set indentations on the base so you have to decide which one works best for you. Once that is set, the rest you can do with the remote.

I love it, it’s almost completely silent on low, and still provides good air flow, 2nd level is still very quiet and quite a bit more air…level 4 really moves a lot of air, and is not quiet at all, but still not louder than most fans that move a lot less air. I just got it today so I’ve only tested it so far, not actually used it for more than a few minutes, so I can’t comment on longevity and durability, but it’s nice looking and appears to be well constructed. I’m very impressed so far.The bad part is that the control buttons are smooth, and not indented or raised, making adjustment impossible in the dark, while using it at the bedside, and the remote is not any better, and the controls on both the unit and the remote are not backlit, making the problem even worse.

After years of buying fans that promise to be quiet, I have wasted a lot of money and spent hours and hours searching the Internet. I finally found a fan that fits all my needs, and is perfect and the design is nice. This fan came boxed expertly, and when I pulled it out of the box, it had a remote and also a special plug that has a five amp fuse for surge protection. You can also take it apart and clean the blades and wipe it out which is amazing. it has a great little handle on the back so you can carry it. It fits perfectly on a bedside table or near your desk and it is whisper quiet. I want to repeat that — whisper quiet. I could barely hear it when I had it on the first setting, the second setting is fabulous too – it doesn’t rattle – it doesn’t vibrate. The high setting is quiet as well and puts out a big breeze. It is perfectly smooth. it has a great remote so you can put it anywhere and control it. The oscillation is nice and smooth from side to side and it can tilt up and back. I just can’t say enough great things about this fan and from now on, I will buy only from this fan company. Here’s another great thing – if you register with the company you get five extra years of free extended warranty . So don’t delay if you’re thinking of it, go for it. Sounds dumb to say out loud, but when I turned it on I got so emotional. It has been a long journey and I found it!

Nice fan but ‘memory’ mode does not seem to work
When un-plugged from AC, it will not recall previous settings when AC plugged in again. So I tried to set & use memory mode (as shown on page 8) with main control panel and remote but fan does not confirm any memory setting. Is memory mode indicated, per page 8, as human head with an illuminated light bulb, per page 8? Unknown. If it is, it can’t be enabled on this model, nor does the fan recall settings after power is removed by default.Detents for setting the vertical angle are too far apart (per page 7: “-30,0,30,60, 90”). Additional detents at 15 or 20 degree intervals would be nice.Otherwise works great.

Really like the fan and its features. Puts out a lot of air and is quiet (read further on noise with first fan) and I like that it has a remote control. Yes, it can be hard to see the controls on the fan at night and it would be nice if they lit up for a few seconds when you touched it. Yes, the remote is a little hard to feel where the buttons are but you get used to it (at least I did) and can use it in the middle of the night by just feel. I like the look of the fan too (mine’s black). But the story didn’t start out great but had a happy ending. The first fan I received started out great but after a couple of weeks it started to make a squeak/creaking noise as it was oscillating to one side. It was quite loud and because I use this at night while sleeping, it wasn’t going to work. I would push on the fan base and that would generally get it to stop or at least get much quieter. Sometimes if I increased the speed to its highest setting and then back down to where I wanted it (level 1) it would stop making the noise too. Well, for the money I felt like it shouldn’t be making any noises like this so I contacted their customer support and they were very responsive and said they had identified the issue and had corrected it in their manufacturing process and all new fans were fixed. So they sent me a replacement, and let me keep the original. They were right too as the new one is dead silent after having used it for a couple of weeks now. Couldn’t be happier with the purchase.

This fan is awesome! I have had a couple Vornados and this fan is as good if not better than them and even a bit cheaper. The options are great, it’s fairly quiet for how strong it is, and it even has a remote! I love that you can even turn of the beep so that it doesn’t make noise at night when you’re changing it.One reason I got this one is because it can angle down, rather than just level or up. It’s up on a tall dresser aimed down at my bed and works perfectly. Having the remote to be able to adjust it from better makes this the perfect fan.I’ll definitely be looking into Dreo for any future fans!

If they had a larger version of this fan, I would probably buy one to have in addition to this one. I was looking for a quiet fan that pushes air decently for my room at school. Smaller than an average classroom but a large room. Mainly just wanted it for my part of the room. It’s NOT too noisy even on the highest setting. It moves air well. I like the oscillating feature and the remote is so convenient. It’s so nice to adjust settings without having to get up or lean over to adjust it every time.I bought this after returning two cheaper fans that proved to be disappointing. This fan was a little less than the cost of the two other fans combined but far better quality.I like this fan more than my old white classic oscillating fan at home.
